On the morning of September 10, the first ship berthing ceremony was held at the wharf of AVIC Baosheng Submarine Cable Co., Ltd. (hereafter called Baosheng Submarine Cable)

It is reported that The General cargo wharf is an important subsidiary project of Baosheng Submarine Cable project, which was listed as a key transportation project of Jiangsu Province in 2019. The project started in February the same year, and the project was completed in August 2020. The whole wharf is 228 meters along the deep bank of the Yangtze River, and has 1 berth of 30,000T parts. Meanwhile, other supporting facilities of the wharf are complete, and 46,800 square meters of land area of the port area is used for storage yard, which currently is the largest wharf in the domestic submarine cable project. After the completion of the project, the wharf is expected to have an annual throughput of 1.1 million tons.
The successful completion of The Baosheng Submarine Cable wharf has attracted extensive attention from party committees and governments at all levels and from all walks of life. With the completion of the first ship berthing, the project of Baosheng Submarine Cable has got through the last link and has the complete ability to participate in market competition and serve customers. It said that as a public wharf, Baosheng Submarine Cable and general cargo wharf will also be open to the society to serve the construction and industrial needs of Yangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone and provide public services for the economic development of the hinterland.
